Dr. Baumann studied physics at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany and began his career as a Scientist at the Institute for Experimental Physics . From 1990 to 1995 he worked at DMT-Research and Testing GmbH in the DMT-Institute for Process Control Systems and electrical Installations.
Since 1996 he has been Managing Director of ee energy engineers GmbH and for 10 years up until 2006 he was involved in the management of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Initiative on Future Energies.
Dr. Baumann’s numerous industry interests include being spokesman of the Study Group Future Energies at the “Future Energies Forum”, member of the expert group renewable energies of the German Engineers Association (VDI) and Member of the Board of the German Heat Pump Association (BWP).
He will be addressing POWER-GEN Europe delegates in his capacity as Managing Director of the EnergyAgency.NRW, a position he has held since 2007 where he is also Cluster manager EnergyRegion.NRW and EnergyResearch.NRW.

Born in Milan (Italy) on May 15, 1964, Carlo Pignoloni graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. In 1990 he entered the Enel Group first as a Quality Engineer in the Construction Department based in Milan, and subsequently holding several positions within the same department, including the Business Unit “Clienti Business” of Enel.Si and the International Division as a Senior Project Manager.
In 2008 Carlo Pignoloni joined Enel Green Power becoming Country Manager for Romania until 2011. He then became Head of Business Development for Europe Area and, since February 2015, he is Head of Europe and North Africa Area for Enel Green Power.

Kristian Ruby is a widely recognised expert with a strong communication profile and extensive experience in political affairs. He joined EURELECTRIC from Wind Europe, where he served as Chief Policy Officer and was in charge of development and implementation of the political strategy.
Prior to this, Ruby worked as a journalist and served seven years as a public servant in the Danish Ministries of Environment, and Climate and Energy and in the European Commission in the cabinet of the former Climate Action chief, Connie Hedegaard.

Andree Stracke has been an Executive Board member of RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) since March 2015. As Chief Commercial Officer, he is responsible for the Global Gas and LNG unit, including the segments of Commercial Asset Optimisation Gas, Gas Origination and LNG as well as Principal Investments, Solid Fuels Origination, Industrial Customers and Corporate Affairs.
Andree Stracke has been working for RWEST since 1999 and was responsible for the establishment of the continental European Gas Trading Desk. Between 2008 and 2011 Andree Stracke built up LNG trading for former RWE subsidiary Excelerate Energy in Houston/Texas in the American market, again as a member of the Executive Board. The graduate economist started his career in 1996 at WINGAS in the key areas of Purchasing and Project Development.
