A large number of Basque companies with extensive experience in the field of smart grids have joined the “Smart Grids Basque Country” brand, created by the Basque Energy Cluster to merge forces, project their capacities and place the Basque Country as a global benchmark in this field of great projection.
During European Utility Week & POWERGEN Europe 2019, The Basque Energy Cluster (Cluster de Energía) will bring 7 associated companies to the Smart Grids Basque Country Pavilion to showcase the best of what is being made in the Basque Country.

The Basque Energy Cluster is a non-profit private organisation, which was set up at the end of 1996 within the framework of the Basque Government's policy to foster the competitiveness of the industrial sector. With 167 members, it integrates the leading companies in the value chain of the energy sector (energy operators, equipment and component manufacturers and service companies), agents in the Basque scientific-technological field, and public administration bodies with responsibilities in the energy area.

A large number of Czech companies with rich and specialized experience in the field of power engineering are presented under the Czech Pavilion.
SDIC (Association of Industrial Plant Suppliers) strives to maintain key know how essential for implementing big technology and industrial plants in the Czech Republic and abroad in energy, chemicals and the food industry.
The organisation protects the interests of its members when negotiating with state authorities and takes an active part in shaping export policies, and actively searches for export opportunities in prospective markets, establishes contacts with foreign partners and contributes to the efficiency of commercial relationships.

A significant number of Italian companies with extensive and specialised experience in the power generation sector have come together under the Italian Pavilion on POWERGEN Europe, created by WMEM, to jointly project their capabilities and underline Italy’s position as a global benchmark for excellence in this critical industry.
WMEM has brought together 16 associated companies across two pavilions, together forming the Italian Pavilion on POWERGEN Europe and showcasing the best of Italy’s solutions, technology and services for the sector.
